April Showers....

It's Wednesday already! so time for a new Squiggle creation :0)
This week I have been inspired by a few different challenges..
I am entering my card into the following -
PaperTakeWeekly - Do something different...

I have used a Squiggle Digi stamp called 'Brolly Girl' for my card. I had not used this cutie yet and thought the image was perfect for the April weather we are having here in Scotland!!
The layout is the fabulous sketch from Sketch & Stash, I have flipped it so I did'nt cover any of the image up :)
I have tried something different in that I have heavily distressed all the edges of my papers!! not my usual style :) although I must admit I love how it has turned out! even my hubby liked it, he thought the layers looked like fabric. I have also used colours & papers I would normally stick to for boy/male cards.
Cardstock is all Coredinations, the bottom layer has been embossed and sanded too. The spotty paper is from a Dovecraft Men's paper pad.
I have added touches of glitter to the image and glossy accents to the puddle and raindrops.

Let's hope the April Showers do bring May flowers!!!

Thanks for looking xx

Just Cute Bears #14 - Sketch by Jane....

It's a fabulous Sketch by the lovely Jane this week over at Just Cute Bears.
Love this sketch! and the DT have created some gorgeous cards with it :)

For my card I have used a little bear from Elzybells, is'nt she cute!
I have coloured the image with promarkers and the papers from Crafthouse Press are lovely and pearly although it does'nt show in the photo!! I have used my punches to make the little flower/leaves embellishments in the corners.

As always we are sponsored by the very generous Cuddly Buddly Crafts.
Here is the stamp you can win this week :)

I'd also like to say a big HELLO to Helen who is joining the DT permanently after her guest month. I love Helen's cards :) Welcome aboard Helen x

Well I'm looking forward to seeing how you all interpret the sketch, it's amazing how different the cards can look using the same sketch. Enjoy!

Thanks for looking xx

Daisy in the Garden...

It's Squiggle Wednesday! Today I have used one of my favourite ever Squiggle Stamps,

I have been tidying my craft area and whilst sorting my stamps I found this gorgeous Magnolia background stamp which I bought last year and I have never used! tut tut!!
So I decided to do some masking and create a little scene for Daisy ;)

I am entering my card into the Passion For Promarkers challenge which is a theme this week - In the Garden...
I have used the following promarkers to colour the image -

Hair - sandstone, cocoa & burnt sienna
Skin - ivory & blush
Outfit & Flowers - blossom, rose pink, apricot, honeycomb, ginger, bright green
Clouds - powder blue, pastel blue & cornflower
Sun - tulip yellow & gold

I have used my MS Doily Lace punch for the fancy border and the detail on the flower petals, not sure of the paper as it is from my scrap box :)
Still have a lot of sorting to do in my craft room! I think it will get worse before it get's better!!! I need to have a browse and see if I can find some good storage ideas :)

Thanks for looking xx

Just Cute Bears #13 - One for the boys...

Sunday again already! So time for a new challenge from Just Cute Bears :)
This week we would like to see your creations especially for the boys/men in your life.
As always we have a fabulous stamp on offer for the prize from the generous
how cute is this little sailor bear!!

For my card I have used a long forgotten teddy stamp! I spotted him whilst looking through my stamps and he was perfect for this challenge in his little dungarees!
I have stamped & coloured the image twice with promarkers and 3-d the teddy for a little dimension.
I have mixed dotty paper with checked papers in boyish colours of blue/green & brown and added the blue pearls and photo corners to finish.

Hope you all join in the challenge and I look forward to seeing your 'boy' creations!

Squiggle Wednesday....

All is busy here with our new puppy! (see my last post for photos!) but I did find time to make this card for Squiggle Wednesday!!
I just had to use this fun duo - Little Inventors, one of the Lilliput stamp range, available as rubber and digi :) for my card! I can see my son doing this ;)

For the layout I have used Tracy's fabulous sketch for the Squiggle Stamps
April Prize Challenge, love the sketch and I will definitely use it again!
I have coloured the cute pair with promarkers taking the colours from the papers to coordinate. The front strip is embossed with Cuttlebug stars also to match the papers :)
I have finished by adding the buttons and the cute paw print motif I cut on the cricut.

Dont forget to check out the April Prize Challenge and make a card using Tracy's sketch.
There's a fantastic prize to be won!
