Something a bit different today :)

I love these new images by talented illustrator Carol from 'Orange Bird Studio'

for Squiggle Stamps.

I particularly love these little owls which I think look rather retro! So I decided to colour them using a 70's palette of orange, yellow, green and brown :)

The papers are MME Bloom and Grow and the 'Hoot' sentiment is computer generated.

Just Cute Bears #23 - Open Theme...

Time for a new challenge from Just Cute Bears :)

This week we have an Open Theme... so you can create any card/project you would like as long as it features a cute bear!

I have used this very cute Penny Black relaxing bear having a wee drink, perfect for a lovely sunny day :)

The image is coloured with promarkers and I have chalked around the image with shimmery chalks.

The papers are MME and I have created a patchwork background as I am also entering my card into the following challenges -

It's Gala Day here today in our village so a fun afternoon is planned :) Although I think it may get rather quiet mid afternoon!! I wonder why?? Good Luck England :)

Fairy Gifts...

A Squiggle card to share today :)

I have used a cute Fenella Fairy stamp called 'Fairy Gifts'.

Squiggle Stamps are this week's sponsors of the Allsorts blog and there is a fab sketch to follow for a chance to win a £15 voucher to spend over in the Squiggle Shop!

I have used the sketch as inspiration for my card, I love this layout as it's great for using up all your paper scraps :) I wont be entering the challenge as I have lots of Squiggle Stamps :)

Just Cute Bears #22 - Monochrome...

Time for a new challenge from Just Cute Bears :)

This week we would love to see your Monochrome cards...

(One colour, or shades of one colour)

I decided to go with shades of brown for a sepia look.

I have used this cute fishing Elzybells bear coloured in various shades of brown promarkers -

{sandstone, caramel, cinnamon, tan and cocoa}

The squares are embossed with an argyle cuttlebug folder, love this folder for male cards.

Sunshine Hedgie....

After all my Penny Black excitement on Wednesday!! I just had to find some time to enter this week's fabulous sketch challenge over at Penny Black Saturday.

It's a wonderful sketch by Janneke and one I will definitely use again :)

I have used this ever so cute Watering Can Hedgehog called 'Yearning' (I love PB hedgies!)

I have coloured the image in promarkers to co-ordinate with the lovely, sunny papers which are a mix of MME and Provocraft.

I am also entering my card into the 'Sunshine inspired' challenge from A Spoonfull of Sugar.

Just a quick post as I have lots to do today and a busy weekend ahead!

Mint Choc Daisy...

Today I have used the lovely 'Daisy with Flowers' from Squiggle Stamps in a gorgeous colour combo of mint & chocolate!

I am entering my card into the

Icecream Flavours challenge from PaperTakeWeekly :)

I have tried out a different fold to the norm, I have seen this fold a few times whilst browsing the www and I've been wanting to try it for a while.

I love the way it stands, making it a little more special when on display.

I have coloured Daisy with promarkers and paper pieced the dress and hairband.

I have added a plain mint panel inside to add a birthday message and stamped the swirls around the panel with sage green ink.

To finish I have added the pearls and little gems to the centres of the mini retro flowers.

Just Cute Bears #21 - Here comes summer!

A 'Summer' challenge today from Just Cute Bears!!

Show us your 'summer' themed teddy bear cards and creations :)

I have used summery colours and lots of flowers as I love all the brightly coloured summer bedding plants.

The cute little teddy is Penny Black and I have coloured the image with promarkers in hot, bright colours.

I punched the flowers around the image with my retro punches and placed the plaid paper underneath, an idea I saw and loved at my local craft shop :)

I added the buttons and scored the outer lines around the card for finishing touches.

Tea Party Time....

A pastel Squiggle creation today using the fabulous 'Tea Party' .

digi stamp from the 'Animal Antics' range.

Love this little kitty and rabbit enjoying tea & cakes :)

I dont often use pastel colours but I love how this image turned out in pastels.

I have coloured the image with promarkers to coordinate with the new Henbury Lane papers from Papermania, gorgeous pastel papers with a touch of glitter.

I have used my retro punches to make the flowers finishing with a little heart gem.

Just Married...

A cute Forever Friends wedding card today :)

I have used a favorite layout/style of mine! You may have seen some of these white embossed cards before!

I have used my new rose embossing folder along with the lovely hearts and finished with the pretty pearls.

The bear image is coloured with promarkers, highlighted with a white gel pen and I have glittered all around the image, it's lovely and sparkly IRL :) The photo does'nt capture that! it's a dull ole day today!!
