Falls of Shin

Hi everyone :)

Just a very quick post from me! Had a lovely week camping up in the North of Scotland, good weather too :)

Back yesterday and tomorrow we are away again to visit family and friends back in Yorkshire!

So no cards from me for another week or so!! But I will be back!

Oh and I was thrilled to see I'm a 'Pollycraft Favourite' this week and I made the 'Top 5' at Allsorts today too!!!

Flash your Freebies... Part 2...

I really wanted to make sure I entered Part 2 of the fab

'Flash your Freebies' challenge over at 'Tales from Pollycraft'

before we go away tomorrow for our hols :)

Everyone who entered Part 1 to use of one Paula's Friday Freebies received this wonderful 'Tortoise Hugs' digi image to use for Part 2 of the challenge with a theme of 'Think Green'...

So here is my GREEN card using the cute Tortoise Hugs image :)

I have coloured the image with promarkers and used the out of nesties technique to cut out and mount.

I have used glitter and whitewash coredinations, embossing the whitewash with an argyle embossing folder and sanding lightly.

To finish I added the green flower gems and stamped a 'birthday wishes' sentiment.
And for completing the challenge Paula is offering a free choice of image from the Pollycraft shop!! I'm off for a good browse now :) Sooo many to choose from!!

'Happy Birthday' challenge over at the Pollycraft Challenge blog...

Well that's it for now :) No crafting for a week, but I am really looking forward to seeing some stunning scenery and visiting new places :) I might even find a craft shop or two!!!

Just Cute Bears #27 - Bear Necessities....

It's time for a new challenge from Just Cute Bears!

This week we would love to see your Clean & Simple bear cards :)

We have the lovely Paula from Pollycraft as our sponsor this week,

I love the Cuthbert & Kiki bears :)

I decided to use the 'cute cute' Cuthbert in the Garden for my card and it all came together very quickly keeping the 'Clean & Simple' theme in mind.

I printed the digi image and cut it to size to fit a C6 card with a patterned paper border. I stamped the Elzybells sentiment straight onto the image and then simply coloured cute Cuthbert with my promarkers adding faux stitches to finish :)

We are going camping for a few days tomorrow but I will be back to check out all your 'Clean & Simple' cards before the next challenge starts :)

New Baby Congratulations....

A 'New Baby' card tonight to wish many 'Congratulations' to my little brother and his partner for my new gorgeous niece :)

I have used this cute LOTV baby image (thanks Sonia!) coloured with promarkers and highlighted with white gel pen as always!

Make a Wish...

A Squiggle creation today :)

I decided to use the adorable 'Princess Daisy' as she has been uninked for too long!!

I have used the freebie MME Quite Contrary papers once again :) I do love these papers!!

Great colours for summer and fab patterns too!

I have coloured Daisy with promarkers to co-ordinate.

I have used one of my favourite Christmas stamps, this cute little FF bear keeping warm with his hot chocolate!

Betsy in the Garden...

I have managed to squeeze in an hour for a bit of crafting today :)

So I just had to use my new 'Betsy Bluebell' stamps from Penny Black,

how cute is she watering the garden!!

I have used the same papers as my last card, MME Quite Contrary and coloured the image with promarkers to match.

I have used the cute 'Daisy with Balloon' from Squiggle Stamps. The heart balloon and her cute little boots are paper pieced and I coloured the rest of the image with promarkers.

The gorgeous papers are MME Quite Contrary, free with this month's Cardmaking & Papercraft.

There is also a little heart gem inside the punched flower :)

I've been looking through all today's challenges!! and over on the Pollycraft blogs these two challenges caught my eye :)

So with these two challenges in mind, here is my card :)

I have used the ever so cute 'Cuthbert with Flowers' freebie and coloured him with promarkers, highlighting with a white gel pen.

The papers are K & Co and I have used my new oval nesties which arrived today :)

I can see me using these a lot!!!

Just Cute Bears #25 - Sketch...

Time for a new challenge from Just Cute Bears!

This week we have a fabulous sketch from the lovely Helen, great sketch Helen! I have added it to my little sketch book :)
I have tried something different for a change, with minimal colouring too! I drew inspiration from the piece of white printed Kraft I found in my scrap box. It was the perfect size for my

6 x 6 card and the sketch!

I have stamped the FF image onto Kraft with brown ink and I have also stamped little flowers over the Kraft horizontal strip with white then brown ink.

The other new thing I have tried is using embossing powder to edge the cardstock for a distressed look! I think I was a bit heavy handed with the ink on the horizontal strip!! but it did'nt go too bad around the main image and I like the look so I will have to try it again :)

Miss Evie in Lilac...

A card to share today using the lovely Miss Evie Flowers from Squiggle Stamps :)

I have used Lou's July Squiggle challenge of -

'Scallops, Stitches and Swirls' for inspiration

and used all of them on my card!

I decided to try a different size card and fold to the norm :) and enjoyed trying something new!

The papers and flower/gems are all from the 'Henbury Lane' range from Papermania and I have coloured the digi image with promarkers with stickles highlighting the wings and the flowers in her hair :)

I have used this week's sketch #110 from Sketch Saturday for the layout. I have carried the sketch over onto the inside of the card as it's a different fold :)

Just Cute Bears #24 - Decoupage...

Morning everyone :)

What a fabulous sunny week we've had :) School is out for summer here now in Scotland so I do hope the fine weather continues :)

Onto this week's challenge from Just Cute Bears which is decoupage - either traditional decoupage or stamping and layering up your image.
I have used this gorgeous Penny Black teddy stamp called 'Joie de Vivre' for my main image, stamping and layering it up with foam pads up to 3 times.

You can see the layering better on the photo below :0)

The image is coloured with Promarkers and I have chalked in the sky background.

I have used very sunny colours for the sweet bear as I am entering my card into the following challenges -

I have also added white faux stitches for the 'In Stitches' challenge from PaperTakeWeekly.

The orange paper is Stampin Up and I have added the gems and ribbon tags to finish.
