Penny Black Scraplift Challenge....

Have you checked out the official Penny Black blog lately?

The blog has had a fabulous re-vamp and there are lots of wonderful projects to be found there everyday for inspiration :)

The blog is also going to be hosting challenges, contests, blog hops and release parties = Fun!!

My card is for the 1st reader challenge - you can find all the details *HERE*...

The challenge is to 'scraplift' a card made by one of the fab PB designers - Ashley Marcu :)

Here is my interpretation!! (click on the card for a better photo!)

I have used Ashley's layout which I love and will use again if that's OK :)

Happy Day!!

Here is a card I made for the Squiggle Stamps blog at the weekend :)

I have used one of the *NEW* digistamps by the talented Carol of Orange Bird Studio called 'Birdy Tag'...

This little birdie is perfect for many occasions as you can add your own sentiment to suit!

I have stamped 'Happy Day' so my card could be used for any happy occasion :)

I love the country look to the bird and this inspired my choice of colours and also the patchwork layout. I also added lots of white dots with my white gel pen to add to the effect.

I have finished with the pearls and a handmade flower, made using my retro flower punches :)

Just Cute Bears #36 - Swirls and Bling...

Sunday already!! So time for a new challenge at Just Cute Bears :)

This week we would love to see 'Swirls and Bling'...

I decided to use my swirl embossing folder for the swirls and added lots of glitter around the image with gems in the corners for my bling!

The cute ted is 'Christmas Tree Ted' from Penny Black - I loved colouring him in!!

The rest of the card is one of my favourite layouts and techniques and one I have used quite a few times before!! I love the white on white with the embossing makes the image really Pop!!

Rosy Hedgehog...

A cutie from Penny Black today :)

The stamp is the adorable 'Country Lady' hedgie holding a little bouquet of roses.

I love this stamp and I have'nt used it for ages!! so out of the draw it came :)

I have coloured the image with promarkers adding glitter to the roses and giving her nice rosy cheeks!!

The bright, floral papers are all freebies from a magazine, love the colours and they inspired me for the rest of the card colours!

I have used the fabulous sketch #119 by Joey over at Penny Black Saturday for the layout

Just Cute Bears #35 - Punch It!

It's a new challenge over at Just Cute Bears today and this week the theme is 'Punch It'... so get your punches and die-cuts out :)

We are sponsored by the fabulous Wild Rose Studio again this week and one lucky winner will win 2 stamps from the range :)

Dulcie from Wild Rose Studio very kindly gave the DT some new Christmas bear images to play with, I love them all! I enjoyed colouring my sweet little bear in bright colours, not traditional for Christmas but I matched the colours with the papers which are Rose Tinted Christmas from Dovecraft.

I have added some embossing too, highlighting the embossing with pink ink and for my punched element I have added lots of punched snowflakes with shimmer dot centres. The pompom and furry bits on the coat are glittered too :)

Autumn is here!!

Afternoon!

I've not managed to get into my craft room much this week, so today I made a note of all the challenges around and noticed 'Autumn' was a popular theme this week :)

So an 'Autumn' themed card is what I've made today!!

I have used the cute 'Cuthbert in the Garden' digi image from Pollycraft as my main image, colouring with promarkers in rich autumn colours.

The papers are MME and the cardstock and ribbon is SU. I added the sweet heart button to finish to echo the heart on Cuthbert's t-shirt.

Floral Trifold Card...

Something a little different today :)

I made this card for my local village's Annual Flower Show to enter in the Handicrafts section - the theme being 'Congratulations on the 125th Flower Show'...

The show is a fabulous day out with lots of local flowers/home grown fruit and vegetables on display, as well as lots of crafts and baking and wine!!

I tried to cover lots of these things on my card which is why I decided on the trifold!! so I could fit everything on :)

And I am pleased to say I got 2nd place and won £20!! which I will be spending on more crafty goodies :)

Just Cute Bears #34 - Photo Inspiration...

Time for a new challenge from Just Cute Bears!!

We have a photo inspiration challenge this week, see photo below!

You can use anything you like from the photo for inspiration, colours, shapes etc! As long as your creation features a cute bear :) you can let your imagination go wild!!
I found this one quite tricky! but went with the gorgeous jewel colours and also the pattern on the feathers look balloon shaped to me! so I decided to use this Penny Black cutie!

I have coloured the image with promarkers and the balloon is popped up on 3-d pads. The papers I found in a huge Papermania paper stack I have had for ages!!
To finish I have added the gorgeous glittery ribbon which was the perfect colour and the buttons.

On Your Special Day...

Today's card is for a special request from a friend :)

The card had to feature 3 chickens!! and an egg to represent her 3 grandchildren and one on the way! Sweet :) to give to her daughter and son-in-law on their anniversary.

This stamp instantly sprung to mind luckily!! I love the way each cute chicken has a gift/card, perfect for the occasion!

I have made the card bright and bold and not lovey-dovey as requested! just adding a wee heart to mark the occasion :)

The stamp is of course Penny Black and the papers are freebies from a magazine a while ago.

I have coloured the image with promarkers and paper pieced the balloon.

Mr Elf!!

Today's card features one of the *NEW* Christmas digi images from Squiggle Stamps!

This fun little character is called 'Mr. ELf' - so cute sitting on the pile of pressies!

I have coloured the image with promarkers to coordinate with the papers which are a mix of Bo Bunny and Making Memories, a couple of my favorites :)

I have used the fabulous sketch #119 by Jeanette over at Sketch Saturday for the layout.

This month's Squiggle Challenge is now up and running and it's an easy one this September!

The theme is 'Anything Goes' so any creation that features a Squiggle image :) has a chance to win a fabulous £30 voucher to spend in the Squiggle Shop!!!

It's a 'Dotty' challenge this week from Just Cute Bears :)

We would love to see all your 'dotty and spotty' creations!!

I love polka dots, so really enjoyed making my DT card this week! I also love purple so this dotty paper from Making Memories was perfect for my card.

I have used the cute 'Kiki with Bloom' from Pollycrafts and coloured using my promarkers all in shades of lilac/purple.

I have followed quite a few challenges for this card too!! Thanks to them all for the inspiration!

Summer Lovin'...

Another Penny Black cutie today :)

I was sent this image in a swap years ago!!! and was so glad I kept it when I saw this week's Summer Lovin' challenge #116 from Penny Black Saturday!

I dont have many PB cats and I'm never quite sure how to colour them but I think this cute pair turned out OK :)

Image coloured with promarkers and I have just used a few scraps of Making Memories paper along with cardstock from SU.

I have also used 3 different punches so I can enter my card into -
