Penny Black Saturday #199 ~ May Day.....

Morning! This week over at 'Penny Black Saturday' our challenge is -

'May Day'.......

we would love to see your cards with a spring theme :)

I have used some PB mice for a change to my usual hedgies!! I love this stamp! It's called 'Hello Dear' and it is a slapstick stamp.

I have coloured the image with promarkers and prismas in spring colours and used a fresh colour combo of blue and white for the rest of the card :)

The layout is Sketch #151 from Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

We have a fabulous prize this week of 4 rolls of yummy ribbon from Fantastic Ribbons.......gorgeous crystallized lace ribbon in lovely colours :)

CAS Poppies....

A CAS card today......I bought this lovely stamp set a long time ago and this is the 1st time I have used it!!!

I was inspired by a few challenges today and this is what I have come up with :)

I have used sketch #97 from Sweet Stop Sketches for the layout and I am entering the current 

challenge #155 with my card...

I coloured the poppies with promarkers adding a little shading with a prisma pencil. The patterned paper is actually a printed vellum overlaid on the black cardstock.

I finished with the wee gems :)

I have made a couple of cards today.......both of them in shades of blue, I think I am wishing for blue skies instead of this persistent rain and grey skies we have at the moment!!!!

Penny Black Saturday #198 ~ No Patterned Papers....

Morning! A new fun challenge today over at Penny Black Saturday :)

'No Patterned Papers'....

I love these kind of challenges as it gives me an excuse to use lots of embossing on my cards for interest instead! Think of the money we could all save :) 

Only joking.......I LOVE my patterned papers, I have far too many of them though!!

I have coloured the image as always with promarkers and prismas and created a simple square layout with lots of embossing and distressing.

Spots & Stripes.....

Afternoon! As we were away last week I never managed to make my DT card for the current

Penny Black Saturday challenge #197 :( 

This week's challenge is 'Spots and Stripes'........2 of my favourite things :) so I had to join in!!

I have used this cute hedgie and bird from Penny Black and coloured with promarkers and prismas......the papers are all from my scrap box and I have added a bit of texture with some embossing :)

I have followed Sketch SSS30 from Sweet Stop Sketches for the layout........

 and I am entering my card into the current challenge #154. I have turned the sketch upside-down to suit my image better!

Penny Black Saturday #196 ~ CASE It.....Helen

Morning! It's 'CASE It' week over at the Penny Black Saturday challenge today :)

We have a gorgeous card from Helen to case and inspire.....

 I love Helen's style and her floral cards are always beautiful.....I dont use my floral PB stamps very often but I was inspired to use this one for the 1st time!!! It's called 'Sparklers'.

No colouring involved :) I just coloured the stamp with Tombow markers and stamped staight onto the paper.

I have cased pretty much all of Helen's card!!! I love the colour combo, the embossing and layout and just added my own touch with the butterflies :)

We have 2 great prizes this week.......from Penny Black and The Ribbon Girl, so you have to be in it to win it :)

Finally a big welcome to Kelly.....our lucky winner of a GDT spot for May.......Congrats Kelly :)
