Colour Create #2

Here is my card for a new challenge blog called Colour Create. The challenge is to use a different colour combo each week :) This week's colours are Peach and Aqua, I could'nt find any patterned papers for the challenge so I have just used plain cardstock!

I have embossed the bottom half of the card as I think it echoes the pattern on Tilda's coat!

There was also an option of creating your own DIY flowers, I have used primas but added my own punched flowers on top with a bit of bling :0)

It was a fab challenge and I shall look forward to seeing what tomorrow's colours will be!!

Forever Friends Valentine

The challenge this week over at the Forever Friends challenge blog is 'Valentines' so I had to take part and use this cutie :0)

I have coloured the cute bear with promarkers for the 1st time, I usually use my prisma's. He's darker than usual but I think it matches the papers I've gone for and as the card is for my DH I wanted to keep the colours darker and more masculine!!

Sketch Sat & SPS..

I have combined 2 challenges for this card :0) I have used the gorgeous sketch #37 from Sketch Saturday and the challenge over at A Spoonfull of Sugar is doodling!

I have used a cute magnolia image sent to me by Sam, thanks Sam x and coloured her with promarkers, the paper is K & Co I think? and I made the flowers with 2 retro flower punches.

PTW - Dawny's Sketch #8

Here is my card using Dawny's fab sketch over at PaperTakeWeekly.

I have used a Joan Elliot stamp from Ladybugandfriends, I love this bear :) and the sentiment stamp is from a SeeD's set. The image is coloured using promarkers again and i'm unsure of the papers as they were from my scrap box :0)

More weather news! well the snow's still here!!! and DS had his 6th day off from school today, mid term break starts tomorrow so he wont be back till Tuesday now if the snow disappears! And the worst happened after my post on Tuesday :( the pipes did burst but luckily I turned the water off sharpish and not too much damage has been done, it's all fixed now just got to sort out the whole in the bathroom wall!!!

Still have a couple more card challenges I want to have a go at, hopefully I will get some time later tonight :)

Friday Sketchers #38

Well the SNOW arrived last week and it's been an eventful week, DS is on his 4th snow day off from school today and loving it!! Bad news is my pipes have frozen in the bathrooms upstairs and I have everything crossed they have'nt burst :( so just waiting for the big thaw!! Luckily downstairs loo OK !!!!!

So all that means I've not had as much time for crafting!! There has been so much snow a firm of lorries has been brought in to take it away from the village!!!

I have uploaded a few photos to show you :0) 1st one from the top is DS at his school gates, 2nd

is the road and path from the main road to our street, 3rd is our cul-de-sac of 5 houses, mine is back left, it took us all (the neighbours) 4 hours to dig ourselves out Saturday!! and the 4th photo is one of the lorries taking away the snow!! where to I dont know!!

Anyway back to the cards!! here is my card for this week's sketch challenge at FridaySketchers, I have used a cute Tilda I received in a swap along with some papers and chipboard from Cosmo Cricket, part of a QVC kit.

Spoonfull of Sugar #37

This week's challenge over at a Spoonfull of Sugar is a wonderful sketch by Tina46. Great sketch for combining all your pretty papers!!

I have used a Sugar Nellie stamp 'sweet and sassy' and coloured her using some promarkers I got for my b-day last week. This is the 1st time i've used them and although I dont have lots of colours I'm quite pleased with the result :)

I have also been tagged by Dei, it's to share the 6th photo from your 6th folder in My Pictures, as this folder contains photos of family who may not wish to be on the www!! I am going to share some photos of my newly organised and tidied!! craft space instead!

I have a tiny section of the spare bedroom and before I used to have a huge old kitchen table blocking the windows. So I have bought myself a new desk and bookcase and got organised.

Now everything I need and use is on the bookcase behind me and everything 'else' packed away under the bed and in the wardrobes, you get the idea!! :0)

It's much tidier now and I can sit under the windows where the light is much better.

Anyway sorry for such a long post! hope you enjoyed having a peek at my craft space :) It wont be this tidy usually!!

GoGo January!

Been busy this last week working on my DT cards for Scrapagogo using the gorgeous February Greetings kit, some beautiful papers this month, think pink and brown with added sparkle, really gorgeous :) and lots more beside!! Also changed internet providers so I was without the worldwide web for a few days, I did'nt realise how much I would miss it!!! but I have had quite a lot of extra time LOL!

Anyway as I cant show Feb's designs yet I thought I would share some of the cards I made with the Jan. kit, such a fun, bright and funky kit with the cute October Afternoon monsters :) Hope you like them, be back soon with some challenge cards etc...
