Anyone for cake?



I'm back again today with another cute stamp from Sugar Nellie :)

This little hedgehog is called 'Sweet Success' and is perfect for birthday cards with the yummy cake image!

I have coloured the image with promarkers and prismas and added glitter to the cake, button and sentiment. The papers are 'Love Letters' by First Edition.

I have followed this week's sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 - #4

Well I'm back as promised with my 1st card of 2014 :)

I must say I thoroughly enjoyed doing a bit of colouring again!!

It's grey and wet outside so thought I'd go for fresh, spring colours and purple & green are one of my favourite colour combos.

New Year, New Start.....

Hello everyone,

Happy New Year!! Hope you had a lovely Christmas and a fabulous New Year!

 

One of my new year's resolutions is to get blogging again, sharing my cards and ideas with you all and entering challenges again :)

To get me started I have had a big tidy up and clear out, I now know where everything is.....almost :)

I use part of the spare bedroom so like to keep it tidy and hidden away for when we have guests. I would love a room just for crafts and I have spent many hours on Pinterest looking at gorgeous craft spaces!!

Anyway I thought I would share a few photos of my new organised craft space.......it wont stay tidy very long!

My expedit units filled with my dies, promarkers, stamps, embellishments etc.



My bureau/desk where I stamp and make my cards........handy because you can close the desk and hide away all your clutter :) The draws have my cardstock, card blanks and pencils in and I keep all my new purchases in a draw till I use them!!

This is the inside of the sliding wardrobe in the bedroom! No clothes.......just more crafting supplies!!

Big Shot, punches, paper pads, ink pads, glues/tapes, buttons and ribbons and more stamps!

I also have my pin board which is filled with lovely cards from fellow crafters.

Flowers & Butterflies....



Once again I apologise for the long absence!! Things are all good just very busy at the moment :)

Today I am sharing a recent sample I made for a craft demo.

I have quite a few samples to share now so I will get round to posting more often!!

 

This card features a pretty floral paper which I have 3-d using flowers from the same sheet to add some dimension. I have also heat embossed the beautiful doily stamp from Docrafts onto the right hand side with pink glittery embossing powder.

I have stamped the sentiment and added more flowers onto a circle cut with my nesties from the same sheet of paper. The butterflies are from a Hero Arts/Sizzix set.

I am sharing a matching card and gift box today.

Love these papers........gorgeous colours and very pretty floral design! The flowers were cut with some Docrafts X-Cut dies and finished with a button and thread. The banners are Sizzix dies that come in a set with co-ordinating stamps.

The mini pizza box is made from 1 sheet of a4 card and it's the perfect size for a wee gift......it's about 4" square.

Doily and Die....



Hi.........I'm back with a couple of cards I have made using the gorgeous Doily stamp and die from Docrafts.

For the above card I stamped and embossed the doily stamp and then cut it out with the matching die. Quite tricky to line up but worth the effort :) The 'mum' and the scalloped border in pink are also stamps from Docrafts - the vintage range. Finished with some bakers twine and button and a wee tag!





This card uses the doily stamp stamped and embossed straight onto the patterned paper. I used a Silver Pearl embossing powder for a watermark look. It's a very subtle look but very pretty!

I cut the card into a tag shape and added the butterfly from a 'Framelits' set.

Finished with the die-cut 'Mum' (a Docrafts alphabet die) and the sentiment stamped in pink is from Hero Arts.

Oops! Not sure what has happened today......had my post scheduled but it didn't work so here I am!!

So this month's fabulous challenge over at Penny Black Saturday is......

'Spring into Spring'....

Time to use lovely fresh colours and all things spring :)

 

I have used this gorgeous PB called 'Bunny Bouquet', so cute!! The paper is from a First Edition pad called 'Spring Feast' and I simply added some punched flowers and the lacy border.
