Furry Friends....

Another Christmas card today :)

 I started a challenge way back in January on the Docrafts forum to make a christmas card a week! Well I have failed miserably!!!! This card is no. #13......I should be on #39 (tut tut)

But I will keep creating in the hope I will catch up a little :)

Well onto this card.....the layout is this week's fab sketch from PaperTakeWeekly....

The image is 'Furry Friends' from Sugar Nellie and I have coloured with promarkers, the cardstock layers have all been embossed and sanded and I have added the gorgeous pom-pom trim to echo the scalloped element of the sketch.

Lots of glitter and some bling to finish :)

Penguin Love....

You've got to love these penguins from Sugar Nellie! So cute :)

I love the fair-isle scarf keeping them both warm and cosy!!

I have coloured the penguins with promarkers and prismas and used some gorgeous glittery papers from First Edition called 'Festive Treats'.

The layout is this week's great sketch from Sketch & Stash #71 ~ my new stash is the penguin stamp and the diecut shape behind them is from my new set of Nesting Dies from Do-Crafts.

I'm going to be busy making up samples this week for my demo at Papercrafts Boutique, Elgin on Saturday :) I am demo-ing using embossing folders in a variety of different ways, Sugar Nellie stamps and promarkers for all things Christmas!!

The lovely Erika is demo-ing too.....making lots of gorgeous projects using Spellbinders......so if you are local we would love to see you all 10 - 4 on Saturday 1st Oct :)

Penny Black Saturday #170 ~ Monochrome....

Morning! Penny Black Saturday is here again :) and today's challenge is......

'Monochrome'.....

Create a card using shades of one colour :)

I decided to have a go at colouring an image all in browns too as I knew I had these lovely brown papers from Stampin' Up. I have coloured the image with promarkers as always in 4 different shades, adding extra shadow with a prisma pencil.

It was quite tricky to colour using but I did enjoy it!!!

With Love at Christmas....

A 'girly' Christmas card today....

I have used another stamp from the new release at Sugar Nellie called 'Knitted with Love'....so sweet!

I have coloured it in non traditional colours of green, pink and blue using my promarkers and prismas :)

The papers are from an 'old' Papermania pad I have had a looong time....I am trying to use up some of my paper mountain :)

Morning! It's Penny Black Saturday.....and today we want to see all your gorgeous creations celebrating 'Friendship'......

I have used the cute Mimi & Friend stamp and coloured as always with promarkers and prismas. The papers are from a very old paper pad by Papermania called 'Spring Burst'.....I love the purple/green colour combo :)

The layout is another fabulous sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday #119.

Bear Bouquet....

A 'cute' bear card to share today :)

I must confess I bought this lovely Fizzy Moon bear back in March and this is the 1st time I've used him!!

I have coloured the bear image with promarkers and decided to go with an autumnal colour combo as it definitely feels like Autumn is here in Scotland :) Not that I mind.....I love Autumn!

I have used this sweet image of very cute mice enjoying some lovely strawberry jam :)

I managed to find the perfect papers to go with the image (not sure who by!!) Love the 'sweet as a little strawberry' quote on the papers.

I have used the fabulous sketch #118 from Sweet Sketch Wednesday for the layout (I have rotated it) and I am also entering the final 'goodbye' challenge over at Stamp Something.

Red & White Christmas....

Today's card is something a little different for me :)

 All stamping and no colouring!!
I have made a twisted easel card using no patterned papers and just some embossing for texture :)

The gorgeous stamps are from a Christmas set by Inkadinkado and I have used an all red & white colour scheme which reminds me of a Scandinavian/Folk art look.
The snowflake border is a Martha Stewart punch.

Penny Black Saturday #167 ~ Make a Scene!

Morning! A fun challenge this week at Penny Black Saturday :)

'Make a Scene'....

I really enjoyed making my card this week, once I decided I wanted to create a Christmas scene.....I had great fun masking all the elements together and even did a cloud background with chalk which is a 1st for me and I think it finished it off nicely :)

I have used 5 different stamps to create the winter wonderland.....the little hedgie, sentiment and reindeer/santa flying are from the transparent set - Best Day Ever....

the teddy is Christmas Tree Ted 4015K & the trees are Snow Dust 4102K.       

The images are coloured with promarkers with a little prisma pencil for shading :)

Embossed Christmas & Squiggle News....

Well it's my 1st post of September :) I really hope to blog more this month.....my posts have certainly been dwindling!!! I am always busy, busy at the moment!!

Today's Christmas card is a sample I have made for an 'Embossed Cards' class I will be teaching tomorrow at my local craft shop......Papercrafts Boutique in Elgin ~ home of Sugar Nellie Stamps :)

I have used a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder for the background and for the gorgeous Inkadinkado wreath stamp I have heat embossed onto special mirror card suitable for heat embossing!

It's a lovely effect.....gold on gold and I added little red gems for accents.
